Bachelor of Science in Economics
Program Overview:-
BS Economics program is designed to make graduates fully equipped with Economic Theory as well as Applied Economics. In Economic Theory students would be given the basic concepts of how to deal with individuals, like behavior of a single firm and a single consumer and how to look the things from aggregate perspective which is the major courses of Economics named as Micro Economics and Macro Economics respectively. After studding these branches of Economics students will be aware of economic problems such as inflation and employment tradeoff. The other courses of Economics include Business Economics, Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Mathematical Economics. They help readers to have deep knowledge of current affairs of all sectors of their country and enable them to make decisions themselves regarding political economy.
The program will provide a strong foundation to the students for a variety of careers: banking and financial services, international business, public service, UN and other international organizations, NGOs, academia, entrepreneurial ventures and public administration to name a few.
Admission:-
- Eligibility criteria for admission to BS (Eco) program will be Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks, from an accredited institution.
- After the last date of submission of Admission Forms, entrance test will be conducted by NTS according to the admission schedule. All admissions shall be regulated on the basis of merit determined by combining the weighted marks obtained in the entrance test with the weighted marks earned in the previous public examinations.
