MS/Ph.D in Physics
Program at Glance:-
The students enrolled in our MS program up till FA08, were required to study 4 Core Courses from a particular stream and 4 Elective Courses of that stream. However, as per the recommendation of board of Studies, all MS students, henceforth, will be required to take the same 3 core courses mentioned above, and 5 electives to be selected from the courses offered by the department. The list of elective courses is currently being revised.
In addition all MS students have to work on a research problem and submit a thesis of 6 credit hours to complete their MS.
Admission Requirements:-
- MS: 16 years education with CGPA of 2.5/4 or higher
- PhD: 18 years education with CGPA of 3.0/4 or higher
- Satisfactory performance in NTS or GAT (General) and interview arranged by the department
Scheme of Study:-
Program structure
The students enrolled in MS program are required to take 4 core courses and 4 electives courses of 24 credit hours (courses with three credit hours each) to be selected from the course offered by the department.
In addition, all MS students have to work on a research project and submit a thesis of 6 credits hours to complete their MS.
