The Library Information Services of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore campus has Organized 10th Grand two days BOOK Fair 2009 on 15th & 16th of December 2009.

The main idea of the exhibition was to develop reading habits and create interest of readings among students and faculty. The second purpose of the exhibition was to create awareness regarding the leading major book companies and their products such as Books, Journals CDs, etc.).

The renowned books sellers from all over the country has participated in this splendid book fair and displayed their reading material on all the subjects particular on Chemical Engineering, Architecture & Design,  Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Finance, History, Islam and English Urdu Literature.
 
Dr. Shaikat Ali Hayat, Director CIIT Lahore along with Dr. Talat Afza, Convener Library Affairs inaugurated the book fair. Faculty of all disciplines has selected the books for the library. Students also visited the fair and took interest in latest editions of books. Faculty and students not only recommends the books for the library but also purchased for their personal use, on special discount.

The staff of the library information services and other departments such as Horticultural, Janitorial section, security section has done a good job to make the event successful.
